This webinar was held during the launch of the “I Remember Water” Digital Exhibition on May 18th, the International Museum Day, and focused on “Exploring Memories of our Relationship with Water”.

The Worldwide Exhibition “I Remember Water” collects and displays, on a dedicated website, several images that show ‘the power of water memories’. 462 images and documents granted by 60 among institutions, artists, and individuals affiliated to the Global Network of Water Museums (WAMU-NET) offer an unpublished taster of the different ‘water worlds’ and
aquatic memories that are exhibited by WAMU-NET partners which are in the front line to promote water sustainability education daily.

The exhibition has been organized by a curatorial team in six different sections: Life, Play, Heritage, Spiritual, Belonging, and Transformations. From the ornate public fountains and household taps that in the last century provided free water to citizens in growing urban settlements to the impacts of climate change and our emotional relationships with water – all
collected images illustrate from different perspectives the rich diversity and the striking affinities of humankind’s connections with water and its unique heritage across the world.
