This webinar focused on tools for participation in water climate actions, bringing together artistic and scientific perspectives, as part of the series When Waters Speak, organized by the Global Network of Water Museums, the University of Oxford’s REACH Programme, and the UNESCO Chair on Water, Heritage and Sustainable Development at the University of Venice Ca’ Foscari.

WaterWalks is a global water monitoring project managed by LUDWIG to raise awareness about rivers-related rapidly changing environments. The project aims at building a database on rivers with the help of citizens, artists, and scientists through a dedicated app, where stories, conversations, pictures, sounds, videos, and water-quality measurements can be shared. The webinar featured the screening of The Song of the Ox composed by Kate Moore, which has been discussed then by invited artists and scientists. In the morning, before the webinar, a few speakers walked along rivers and documented their personal experience through the WaterWalks app. Anyone could follow the live stories of WaterWalks (starting from 10am CET) at: www.waterwalks.nl
